Once two persons abused
each other in the presence of the Prophet (S) and the eyes of one of them
became red and the veins in his neck were swollen. Thereupon the Prophet
(S) said:
"I know of a wording that if he were to utter, his fit of rage would subside.
If he says,

أَعُوْذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ
'Aootho bilahee mina shaytaan irajeem.' (I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed.) |
