German Jewish family of New York and Religious scholar Maryam Jameela

Margret Marcus spent years in New Rochelle,New York,her parents were German Jewish descent,and she spent her early years in Westchester.Margaret Marcus was her name before embracing Islam.Religious scholar and writer Begum Maryam Jameela died of heart attack,she belong to a Jewish family of  New York,after being impressed by the writings of Maudoodi,she became Muslim. She came to Lahore in 1961 and was married to a Jamaat-i-Islami Rukin, Yousuf Khan.she wrote 34 books on  Islam.Her books “Islam in Theory and Practice” and “Islam and Orientalism” are widely known.Her Namaz e Janaza was led by Hafiz Muhammad Idrees.She spent her life in the service of the Deen. Almighty Allah may accept her services for Islam.
